About Michigan Auto Care Center

A neighborhood maintenance shop on Gratiot Ave in Roseville. We fix cars. We tell the truth about what they need.

Honest Maintenance From People You Can Trust

Michigan Auto Care Center is a family-run auto maintenance shop in Roseville, Michigan. We specialize in preventative maintenance for domestic and European vehicles — the kind of routine care that keeps your car running reliably and saves you from expensive repairs down the road.

We're not a dealership, and we're not a national chain. We're a small shop on Gratiot Ave where the person who works on your car is the same person you talk to at the counter. We've built our business on doing good work at fair prices and telling people the truth about what their vehicle needs — nothing more, nothing less.

Every service we perform uses BG Products, the industry leader in automotive maintenance chemicals. We chose BG because their products work, their science is solid, and they stand behind it with a lifetime protection plan that we can offer directly to our customers.

Whether you drive a Ford F-150 or a BMW 3 Series, whether you need an oil change or a full transmission fluid exchange — we've got the training, the tools, and the products to do it right.

Common Questions

Quick answers to the things people ask us most.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is strictly required — you can drop your car off anytime during business hours. That said, you can use our online scheduling form to let us know when you're planning to come in and what your vehicle needs. It helps us plan our day and makes the process smoother for everyone.

What types of vehicles do you work on?

We service both domestic and European vehicles. That includes Ford, Chevy, Dodge, GMC, Jeep, Chrysler, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo, and more. If you're not sure whether we work on your vehicle, give us a call and we'll let you know.

How long does a typical service take?

It depends on the service. A straightforward fluid exchange or oil change might take an hour or two. More involved work like a full brake service or transmission service could take longer. We'll give you an honest time estimate when you drop off, and we'll call you when it's ready.

Do you provide estimates before starting work?

Yes, always. We'll look at your vehicle, tell you what it needs, and give you a price before we do anything. If something changes during the service, we'll call you before proceeding. No surprises.

Can I wait while my car is being serviced?

You can, but most customers drop their car off and we call them when it's done. If you'd like to wait, let us know when you arrive and we'll do our best to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit and debit cards.

Do you do major engine or transmission repairs?

Our focus is preventative maintenance — the regular services that keep your vehicle reliable and prevent major problems. If we find something during a service that needs more than routine maintenance, we'll let you know and can refer you to a trusted specialist if needed.
